How To Perform Istikhara Namaz For Marriage
A choice, particularly one as significant as marriage. Making sure the choice is in line with Allah’s will can be ensured by performing Istikhara Namaz, which can promote clarity and serenity of mind. Here’s how to do Istikhara Namaz for marriage, step-by-step:
Carry out Wudu (ablution):
Make sure you are clean and in a ritually pure state before starting with Wudu.
Goal (Niyyah):
Make it your earnest goal to use Istikhara Namaz to ask Allah for guidance. It’s critical to keep your attention on the goal of the prayer, which in this case is to ask for direction regarding a possible marriage.
Do Two Nafl Prayer Rakat (Units):
Complete Wudu and then offer two Rakats of Nafl prayer. Recite Surah Al-Fatiha in the first Rakat, then Surah Al-Kafirun (Surah 109). Recite Surah Al-Fatiha and then Surah Al-Ikhlas (Surah 112) in the second Rakat.
- Recite the Istikhara Dua:
- After completing the two Rakat, recite the following Istikhara Dua with sincerity and devotion:
- Have faith in Allah’s wisdom: Once you’ve finished the Dua, have faith that Allah (SWT) will lead you in the right direction. In the coming days, pay close attention to any signals or feelings you may have and exercise patience.
- If necessary, repeat: You are welcome to repeat the Istikhara for a few days if you are still undecided. Until your heart is clear, keep praying and asking Allah to guide you.
You are putting your faith in Allah’s understanding and wisdom by doing Istikhara Namaz and hoping for the best for your future. May the road that is best for you in this life and the next be guided by Allah (SWT).
